Hengeler Mueller advises Goldman Sachs/Whitehall on real estate acquisition from Karstadt Quelle AG

Hengeler Mueller has advised a Whitehall Fund, which is part of the Goldman Sachs group, on the acquisition of the department store real estate assets of KarstadtQuelle by a joint venture company led by Whitehall and comprising the KarstadtQuelle corporation. The transaction value amounts to approx. Euro 3.7 billion.

Whitehall was advised by Hengeler Mueller. The team comprised partners Thomas Müller, Frank Burmeister (both Corporate/Real Property), Johannes Tieves (Corporate/Financing) and Alf-Henrik Bischke (Competition) in addition to associates Daniel Kress, Martin Lamm (both Real Property) and Andreas Mauroschat (Employment).
