Hengeler Mueller advises Germanischer Lloyd on takeover battle

The shareholders of Germanischer Lloyd AG representing more than 95% of the share capital have accepted the takeover offer of the Hamburg businessman Günter Herz, thereby rejecting the hostile takeover offer of competitor Bureau Veritas.

Hengeler Mueller advised the target company on the offer by Günter Herz, the attempted takeover by Bureau Veritas and on the further competing offer of TÜV Süd AG.
