Carsten's clients are German and international companies seeking legal advice on all aspects of company law, but mostly in the areas of stock corporation and group company law, company reorganisation, takeover law and corporate governance.

Carsten specializes in complex corporate transactions such as mergers, spin-offs, transformations and all types of business combinations, including takeovers of stock listed companies. Carsten has gained much expertise in the area of spin-offs of listed companies and public take overs including post takeover integration.

His broad experience and expertise allows Carsten to advise and lend support on a regular basis to a number of listed companies in conducting their shareholder meetings. He also provides legal counselling on issues relating to corporate governance, board member compensation and board member liability as well as capital markets and securities law.
