Hengeler Mueller advises Deutsche Telekom on sale of Vivento Technical Services to Nokia Siemens

Deutsche Telekom has sold its subsidiary Vivento Technical Services GmbH to Nokia Siemens Networks. Vivento Technical Services GmbH plans, implements and maintains telecommunications networks and renders services to end customers.

Hengeler Mueller advised Deutsche Telekom AG on this transaction. The Hengeler Mueller team was led by Thomas Meurer (Corporate/M&A, Düsseldorf) and included partner Hans-Joachim Liebers (Labour, Frankfurt) as well as associates Christian Hoefs (Frankfurt), Christian Bank, Marcus Strunk and Sebastian Lochen (all Düsseldorf).

Back in 2004, Vivento Technical Services GmbH, together with its affiliate Vivento Customer Services GmbH, had been established by Vivento, a personnel service provider of Deutsche Telekom, with the aim of further developing certain activities for marketability purposes and then transferring these to other companies. Hengeler Mueller provided legal advice on all subsequent transactions, including the transfer of seven call center sites to walter services Holding GmbH and of a further five call center sites to Bertelsmann AG / arvato.
