Hengeler Mueller advises Deutsche Bahn on Scandlines sale

On 19 June 2007, Deutsche Bahn AG and the Danish Ministry of Transport and Energy, shareholders of Scandlines AG, signed a share sales agreement to sell all shares in Scandlines to a consortium comprising Allianz Capital Partners GmbH, 3i Group and Deutsche Seereederei GmbH. The transaction value amounts to € 1.56 bn.

Hengeler Mueller is advising Deutsche Bahn AG. Advice is being provided by partners Hans-Jörg Ziegenhain (Lead Partner, M&A), John Flüh (M&A), Wolfgang Spoerr (Regulatory), Hans-Jörg Niemeyer (Competition), Wolfgang Grobecker (Corporate) and Dirk Uwer (Regulatory) in addition to associates Viola Sailer, Michael Riha, Attila Oldag, Alexandra Rullen and Timm Theilmann.

Hengeler Mueller is working on this transaction together with the Danish law firm Plesner Svane Grønborg (Christian Kjølbye), which is advising the Danish Ministry of Transport and Energy.
