Hengeler Mueller secures European Commission merger control approval for Danfoss' acquisition of Eaton's global hydraulics business

The European Commission approved Danfoss A/S's (Denmark) acquisition of Eaton Corporation plc's global hydraulics business (headquartered in the US). The deal had been signed in January 2020. The approval followed an in-depth investigation (so-called "phase 2") and Danfoss' agreement to certain remedies.

Hengeler Mueller acted as EU antitrust counsel to Danfoss. Partner Markus Röhrig led the team out of Brussels.
