thyssenkrupp concluded a credit line of EUR 1bn under the KfW special programme 855 with a consortium consisting of KfW and other banks. The facility will secure additional liquidity during the coronavirus pandemic until the cash inflow from the sale of thyssenkrupp's elevator business.

Hengeler Mueller partner Nikolaus Vieten (Financing, Frankfurt) advised thyssenkrupp on the transaction. He has been advising the company for several years, among other matters, on its syndicated credit line.

Responsible for this transaction within thyssenkrupp’s in-house legal department were senior counsel Frithjof Behrens and general counsel Arne Wittig.
