Moritz advises companies, financial investors and shareholders on restructurings, financial restructurings and M&A transactions in complex crisis and special situations, in particular in the real estate industry. His clients include national and international financial investors, lenders, insolvency administrators and companies from the real estate and financial sectors as well as industrial companies.

Moritz has recently advised on the following matters, among others: Oaktree in connection with several real estate and project development insolvencies (including the restructuring of large-volume project development financings and the stabilization of landmark properties), RoundShield on enforcement and restructuring measures, financial investors and debt funds on the acquisition of real estate assets from insolvency (including in connection with the Ziegert Group and the Signa Group), and the restructuring of a securitized real estate loan (The Squaire).

In addition, he advised FTI Touristik in a complex, state-backed transaction and restructuring process and, following the filing for insolvency, the insolvency administration on the realization of assets, Frank Kebekus as insolvency administrator of the Galapagos Group on the enforcement of avoidance claims, and Glencore on the acquisition of the Weser-Metall Group out of insolvency.
