Hengeler Mueller advises Deutsche Bank on takeover of norisbank

Deutsche Bank AG has signed an agreement to acquire norisbank, a part of DZ Bank Group. Deutsche Bank will purchase the business conducted under the "norisbank" brand consisting of 334.000 clients, a loan book of 1.4 bn euros, deposits of 1.6 bn euros as well as 98 branches in 58 cities. The preliminary consideration amounts to 420 m euros.

Within the legal department of Deutsche Bank AG, the transaction was handled by Peter Clouth and Volker Butzke together with Jan Reinecke, Christian Hertel, Christian Merz and Judith Wittig.
