Hengeler Mueller advises on BASF Benchmark Bond

BASF has issued a benchmark bond in the principal amount of EUR 1 billion with a term of 5 years and a coupon of 4.00 per cent per annum.

The bond was issued on a stand-alone basis and the prospectus was approved by the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority (IFSRA) in Dublin. The bond is listed on the Irish Stock Exchange in Dublin and will, upon formal notification of BaFin by the IFSRA, also be quoted on the official market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Hengeler Mueller advised the international underwriting syndicate and was responsible for preparing the issue documentation. Advice was given by partner Hannes Schneider and associate Harald Voigts.
