Hengeler Mueller advises Magnesita on acquisition of LWB

Magnesita Refratários S.A., a Brazilian manufacturer and service provider in the refractory industry with a leading position in the Latin American market, has signed an agreement with the finance investor Rhône Capital to acquire Germany’s LWB Refractories, a leading supplier worldwide of dolomite-based refractories. The total transaction value amounts to 657 million euros. This transaction is set to create the third largest refractory company in the world.
