Hengeler Mueller advises E.ON on sale of its stake in HEAG Südhessische Energie AG (HSE)

E.ON Ruhrgas AG sold its 40% stake in HEAG Südhessische Energie AG (HSE) to the municipal holding company HEAG Holding AG - Beteiligungsmanagement der Wissenschaftsstadt Darmstadt (HEAG). With the purchase HEAG will increase its interest in the local energy supplier to approximately 93%. The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval by E.ON Ruhrgas' supervisory board as well as by certain municipal bodies of the science city of Darmstadt.

Hengeler Mueller advised E.ON Ruhrgas AG on the transaction. The Hengeler Mueller team included partner Hans-Jörg Ziegenhain and counsel Attila Oldag (both Munich).
