Hengeler Mueller advises GE Aviation on take-over of SLM

GE Germany Holdings AG, a subsidiary of General Electric Company, acting through its operating unit GE Aviation, announced the signing of a business combination agreement with SLM Solutions Group AG, Lübeck, on September 6, 2016. GE intends to submit to the shareholders a voluntary public takeover offer at a price of EUR 38, which values the company at EUR 683 m. The bidder has signed purchase agreements with shareholders representing 31.5% of the shareholding. SLM Solutions Group AG is a leading producer of laser machines for metal-based additive manufacturing (Selective Laser Melting). In parallel GE announced a tender offer to acquire Arcam AB, Sweden.
