Hengeler Mueller advises ZEISS on acquisition of GOM

ZEISS, an internationally leading technology enterprise operating in the fields of optics and optoelectronics and GOM have signed an agreement on the business combination of the companies. As a leading provider GOM develops, produces and distributes software, machines and systems for industrial and automated 3D coordinate measuring technology and 3D testing. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Braunschweig, Germany, the company has around 600 employees worldwide. Closing of the transaction will begin after necessary regulatory approvals, which are expected to have been obtained in the first half of 2019. With the acquisition of GOM, ZEISS expands the industrial metrology and quality assurance portfolio of its Industrial Quality & Research division.
