Hengeler Mueller advises FAZIT-STIFTUNG on sale of Mediengruppe Frankfurt

FAZIT-STIFTUNG, to which Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung GmbH as well as Frankfurter Societät GmbH belong, and the publishing house Zeitungsholding Hessen (“ZHH”) owned by the media groups Ippen Mediengruppe and MDV-Mediengruppe which belongs to the Rempel family, have agreed on the sale of Mediengruppe Frankfurt to ZHH. The sale is still subject to the approval of the German Federal Cartel Office.

Mediengruppe Frankfurt includes the newspapers Frankfurter Rundschau and Frankfurter Neue Presse with its regional issues, the advertising supplement Mix am Mittwoch, the marketing company RheinMain.Media, the digital agency Rhein-Main.Net and the printing company Frankfurter Societäts-Druckerei.
