Hengeler Mueller advises Charterhouse on dual track Armacell exit

Private equity funds managed by Blackstone and KIRKBI A/S have entered into binding agreements regarding the acquisition of Armacell from Charterhouse. Armacell, a global manufacturer of flexible foam products for equipment insulation and technical applications, has over 2,600 employees worldwide and operates across 23 manufacturing plants in 16 countries and 4 continents.
Hengeler Mueller advised Charterhouse as lead counsel both in relation to the sale and to a contemplated IPO (dual track exit). The M&A team was led by partners Hans-Jörg Ziegenhain (Munich) and Steffen Oppenländer (London) (both M&A) and further comprised partners Christian Hoefs (Labour), Nikolaus Vieten (Finance) (both Frankfurt) and Markus Röhrig (Merger Clearance, Brussels), counsel Patrick H.
