Christian advises national and international corporate clients on all aspects of employment law. This comprises individual and group matters. His practice includes ongoing employment law advice as well as advice on M&A transactions and reorganisations. Christian regularly leads negotiations with unions and works councils on behalf of his clients. He also represents them in conciliation board proceedings and employment litigation. Other key areas of his practice consist of providing advice on employment-related compliance matters and compensation systems.
Recently, Christian dealt with employment matters in the following M&A transactions and reorganizations: GE's acquisition of Concept Laser and the intended take-over of SLM (2016), EPH's acquisition of the lignite operations from Vattenfall (2016), Onex's sale of KraussMaffei Group (2016) and JCDecaux's group-internal mergers in Germany (2016).
For Standard Life, Deutsche Bank, and JCDecaux, Christian recently led negotiations with unions and works councils. Latterly, he has also represented Fidelity, State Street, Eaton und Ahold Germany in various employment disputes. In addition, he has advised several financial institutions concerning their compensation systems and a large media company regarding its employment-related compliance matters.
