Alexander has a broad practice focussing on capital markets, banking and regulatory issues, including bank supervision and securities regulation. 

He particularly advises companies and banks in a wide variety of capital markets transactions. This covers IPOs and capital increases requiring a prospectus. In addition, he focusses on capital market based financing through the issue of bonds and structured investment products and he advises corporate clients and banks on syndicated loans and other financings.

On banking and regulatory issues, Alexander advises domestic and foreign banks and financial services institutions on matters relating to banking regulatory law, payment services and securities regulation. A particular focus of his work is advice related to innovative financial technologies (FinTech).

Alexander is the author of numerous publications in the field of Public and Regulatory Law and lecturer for regulatory law at the University of Mannheim.
