Changfeng assists Chinese clients with their M&A transactions and other investments in Germany and Europe, while he also advises German and European clients on investments in China, in particular with respect to divestitures. Beyond advising on the legal aspects of a transaction, Changfeng provides intercultural understanding in order to bring transactions to a successful close. Changfeng was born and raised in China. In 1996, he moved to Germany and studied law at Bonn University, where he received his Ph.D. in 2006. Changfeng was also admitted to the German bar in 2006. After working in our Duesseldorf office, he moved to Shanghai in 2014, where he now heads the firm's local office.
Changfeng has advised on transactions for Chinese and European investors, and corporates including: the acquisition of KSM by CITIC Dicastal (2011), the investment by Weichai Power in Kion (2012), the acquisition of the Delphi antenna business by Northeast Industries (2015), the acquisition of Bigpoint by Youzu Interactive (2016), the sale of the automotive hinges division by Metalsa to SUMEC (2016), as well as several investment projects by Deutz in China (since 2010).
