Hengeler Mueller is expanding its international expertise in the Eastern European market. Hengeler Mueller’s Russia Desk regularly provides advice to German and foreign clients on their projects in Russia as well as to major Russian companies on their activities in Germany and other European countries. In doing so, the Russia Desk cooperates with leading Russian law firms which possess international credentials.
Hengeler Mueller has advised as lead counsel the JCDecaux Group on its acquisition project News Outdoor (Murdoch Group) and, in this context, co-ordinated a team of more than 15 law firms in various jurisdictions, most notably Russia and the CIS States. Furthermore, Hengeler Mueller provides ongoing advice to the Russian corporate group Basic Element and its subsidiaries, such as UC Rusal, as well as to other Russian companies, such as EuroChem, which are expanding internationally.
