18.05.2009 – Hengeler Mueller sets new standards in career development and training

We provide our clients with comprehensively trained attorneys who have developed their specialisations on the foundation of a broad range of expertise. Our associates are not assigned to just one single field of law and do not work for a single partner. Instead, our policy for many years has been to assign associates to two partners at the same time.

As a result of rotating between partners in intervals of approximately 9 months, our associates become acquainted with various styles of work, types of transactions and fields of activity by working closely with different partners. This enables the associate to develop his or her own style, identify a particular field of interest “on the job“, and specialise accordingly.

We actively promote the development of specialised knowledge, not only in our core practice areas of corporate, M&A and capital markets, but above all in areas of law such as public, tax, labour, antitrust and intellectual property. Interested associates can spend more than half of their time in any one of these areas. We also place importance on our associates representing our clients in litigation and arbitration.
