Equal treatment is a guiding principle at Hengeler Mueller. There are no different classes of partnership. Each partner has the same voting right and, based on a lock-step system, an equal share in the profits. The principle of equal treatment also applies to our associates. Starting salaries, salary increases and the period until partnership are the same for everyone.

A career at Hengeler Mueller follows a transparent course. After one and a half years, a decision is taken on including the name of the associate on the letterhead. At the end of the fourth year, there is a "sounding" about the chances of becoming a partner, and after a total of five years, a decision is made about partnership. During this entire period of time, regular discussions with partners give the associate a good indication about his or her level of performance.
